OpenOffice.org – Ximian Edition 1.3.8 : Screenshots

Monday, January 31st, 2005

This morning I’ve posted a few screenshots of the latest release of OpenOffice.org Ximian Edition into the gentoo portage tree (1.3.8 in ~x86). I haven’t had a chance to read the changelogs for this project for a while, but one major feature change that I’ve noticed is the use of the DM’s file widget [...]

Death to Lazy CDDB Posters?

Friday, January 28th, 2005

Please, if you post information about a CD that you’ve purchased to the free cddb servers,  don’t be lazy about it.  The next person who enter’s Korn as "Folk music" and a multiple artist disk where they enter the artist as the title and the title as the artists, really needs to be put out [...]

Friday, January 28th, 2005

Well it appears that so far the week of surgies is closing to an end with everyone, so far, handling it well. Of course, that is always easy for those not having the sugery to say. But, I understand all to well thanks to my pacemaker. Either way, the two surgeries I [...]

Wednesday, January 26th, 2005

Pictures, Pictures, and More Pictures

Tuesday, January 25th, 2005

Well, I have once again fallen tonight towards the ever mundain task of trying to re-orgnize all of my photos. I think I’ve mentioned before that as part of trying to get all of the photos up on my gallery that I once had with my old server, that I’m also trying to get [...]

New Project: Tin (Things I Want)

Tuesday, January 25th, 2005

Yesterday I officially started development on a new project I’m calling “Tin”. It’s simply an idea that I’ve had for a while of a Apache+PHP+Mysql based wishlist system. The reason for this is simply that the available php wishlists are either too simplistic for what I want, or they focus more on the [...]

Much Faster!

Monday, January 24th, 2005

I do apologize for the boo-boo but it does appear that a plugin that I had activated, but never used, for formating of my posts was the culprit for the sluggishly slow load times. I have de-activated and removed the plugin and it appears as if everything is back to normal. The [...]

Thursday, January 20th, 2005

I found a really interesting article that is a good read for anyone interested in computer architectures. Simply a description of the proposed “Cell” architecture being created in co-operation between several companies including Sony, Toshiba and IBM. more…
